Sharing of Information Leads to
Broader and Deeper Collaboration
Initiated by College Forward, four community organizations requested E3 Alliance, as the “backbone organization” for collaborative infrastructure in education in the region, to act as facilitator. Over time, other collaborators and higher education partners were brought in. Additional member organizations are added to the Network upon approval by CenTxCAN members.

CenTxCAN Partners Agree to a Shared Commitment
Focus on a Common Agenda
Participation by Executive Directors and Program Directors in regularly scheduled meetings of the Executive Committee in order to facilitate joint strategic planning related to college preparedness, access and success in Central Texas. Members will work together to identify program synergies and opportunities for cooperation and partnership where appropriate.
Engage in Collective Impact
Encourage staff to participate in regularly scheduled meetings of the Student Success Practitioners’ Council and its subcommittee, and to provide appropriate support to move forward collaborative projects. Unless otherwise decided, CenTxCAN members should chair the Council and each of the various sub-committees. To improve sustainability and ensure leadership at all meetings, two co-chairs will be identified for each sub-committee. It is recommended to have each sub-committee led by CBO and IHE representatives to facilitate collaboration.
Leverage Grants
Opportunities to broaden scope and impact and deepen services. Identify and pursue joint initiatives and grant opportunities, as appropriate, implementing strategies designed to lead to overarching regional goals. Share findings and successes that are substantial and replicable with other regions of the state and country either as published information or through working together to offer consulting services beyond Central Texas, as appropriate, to support broad and sustainable implementation.
Develop CenTxCAN Pipeline and Program Efficiency
Share agreed-upon information about programs, activities, student demographics and target outcomes with each other in order to determine complementary, supportive or redundant services in order to fortify and streamline the CenTxCAN pipeline.
Leverage Data
Share de-identified data, as appropriate and in compliance with TEA and FERPA regulations, with E3 Alliance and other third party researchers in order to provide a basis for sound longitudinal programmatic and evaluation studies
